Mike has been complaining that he hasn't felt the baby kick yet. In the baby's defense Mike is pretty impatient and won't wait long for a kick.
Tonight we were sitting on the couch and I was on my laptop. All of a sudden felt some kicks on my elbow which was resting on my stomach while I typed, so I told Mike to give me his hand quickly. He actually listened to me and did. Surprise!!! He felts a few kicks!
Mike then asked me if the baby does this all the time. I had to explain to him that is what I feel every night when I am trying to go to sleep. It was so cute to see Mike actually get to feel the baby kick!

Baby Bump
Hello everyone! I know I have been slacking at this since we moved, but we have been pretty busy! I did finally get around to taking a baby bump picture and added it here. We are now 24 weeks 2 days along in this baby growing process, which means approximately 6 months or so. So far he is a very active little boy and seems to be most active at night, maybe he is a night owl like his father!
We have finally started a registry, emphasis on "start"". It is so overwhelming figuring out what we will actually need! The crib arrived the same day we moved in, but it's still in the box in the room that will be the nursery and our changing table/ dresser combo is getting delivered next week. So at least we have most of the big stuff done.
So right now I am just enjoying the last few weeks of my 2nd trimester while I still have energy and can get up out of a chair with out assistance!

Spoiler Alert, It's a.....
BOY!!!! We had our ultrasound first thing this morning and we got to see a very active baby boy. At one point his legs were kicking so much it looked like he was riding a bicycle haha!
The technician printed a lot of pictures that I will post as soon as Mike has time to scan them for me.
So now that we know the gender let the fun of registering begin! We already had the nursery theme picked out for a boy so that's a start.
On another note, we close on our house next week (Dec. 22) and then move in after Christmas. So December is a busy busy month for us.

17 weeks 4 days
Only 6 more days until we find out the baby's gender! I am very anxious to find out, Mike on the other hand isn't as excited, he says it doesn't matter to him (liar, I know he wants a boy!) I don't care as long as the baby is healthy, but I need to know for my OCD planning purposes. And I have been informed that Grandma Lupiani does not want to know the baby's sex.
On a good note I have been morning sickness free for 1 full week now! WOOHOO!!!! I was only morning sickness free for a few days before I was lucky enough to catch a cold. Unfortunately there is no useful cold medicines I can take, so I just have to suffer for the baby's sake.
